Spray Tan FAQs
-
How long does it take?
Depending on how long we yap for… I can be in and out within 30 minutes.
As for marination time: all of our formulas we use are express and usually take 1-2 hours. During your appointment, we'll go over your ideal shade and the best time to rinse for your desired finish. -
How do I prepare for my appointment?
You will receive a pre-treatment checklist from me before your appointment that will cover the following:
- Exfoliating a day before
- Moisturise a day before
- No moisturisers, perfumes or deodorant the day of the spray tan -
Post Tan Care - What do I do?
You will receive aftercare instructions after your appointment, mentioning the following:
- For the initial rinse, use lukewarm water and rinse until the water runs clear. Avoid soaps or loofahs, and gently pat yourself dry.
- Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise from the following day.
- If you want to extend the life of your tan even further, we recommend our Spray Tan Extender product. -
Can I include my friend, partner or family member?
Absolutely! Save with our package discounts. View the prices here.
-
I have an event on Saturday, when should I schedule my tan?
We suggest tanning 1-2 days before your event. For weddings, 2 days before will give you a more natural look (a trial is highly recommended). Heading off on holiday? The night before is best. However, this is just a rough guideline, and we can always tailor our tan application to work with your schedule.
-
I'm pregnant or breastfeeding, can I get a spray tan?
Testing indicates that the DHA does not penetrate the skin, nor enter the bloodstream, therefore it appears safe to spray you. However, as a precaution, we suggest you seek permission from a doctor, prior to being sprayed.
-
Will swimming affect my tan?
Unfortunately, yes! Swimming can impact your tan. Chlorinated water can lighten skin, and swimming naturally exfoliates, which may cause your tan to fade faster. To help maintain your glow, keep swims short and apply a water-resistant sunscreen as a protective barrier between your bronze and the water.
-
How long will my tan last?
With good post care, your tan will typically last 7-10 days, gradually fading as skin cells renew. To keep your glow longer, we have a Tan Extender, which can extend your bronze for up to two weeks while nourishing and soothing your skin.

I have veneers or crowns, will it still work?
